UMA TERRA SEM GENTE PARA GENTE SEM TERRA é uma exposição de cartazes
gráficos interactivos sobre o conflito entre Israel e a Palestina. Produz
um discurso visual em torno das tensões sociais da vida quotidiana nesta
região onde três continentes colidem, e propõe uma nova abordagem de
pensamento sobre o conflito. O discurso é crítico, mas também irónico e,
de uma forma descontraída, expõe a situação actual, convidando as pessoas
a colorir os mapas e desenhos ao longo da exposição.

Este livro contém versões actualizadas das imagens e textos incluídos na
exposição, em conjunto com novo material produzido especificamente para
esta publicação, onde também são descritas as diferentes fases da sua
produção e documentação, assim como o contexto político e de design
através de textos pelos autores. Para além disso, colaboradores de
diferentes contextos profissionais e culturais foram convidados a
responder ao formato e ao conteúdo da exposição de acordo com as suas
próprias perspectivas.

UMA TERRA SEM GENTE PARA GENTE SEM TERRA é uma edição de autor de Nuno
Coelho e Adam Kershaw e inclui um conjunto de lápis de cor. O lançamento
do livro é um evento incluído nos Projectos Tangenciais (programação
paralela) da EXD09 - Experimenta Design Lisboa 2009.

A LAND WITHOUT PEOPLE FOR A PEOPLE WITHOUT LAND is an exhibition of
interactive graphic posters dealing with the conflict between Israel and
Palestine. It produces a visual discourse around the social tensions of
daily life in this region where three continents collide, and proposes a
new approach to exploring the conflict. The discourse is critical, but it
is also ironic and playfully exposes the current situation by inviting
people to colour-in the maps and drawings as they journey through the
exhibition.

This book includes the revised images and texts comprising the exhibition
along with new material produced specifically for this publication. It
also details its production and documentation and contains texts by the
authors discussing the political and design context of the work. In
addition, contributors from different professional and cultural
backgrounds were asked to respond to the exhibition format and content
from their own perspective by contributing essays.

A LAND WITHOUT PEOPLE FOR A PEOPLE WITHOUT LAND is a self-published book
by Nuno Coelho and Adam Kershaw and it includes a set of colouring
pencils. The book launch is an event included in the Parallel Program of
EXD09 - Experimenta Design Lisbon 2009
